COLLECTION  No. 1

This was my very first collection! I have always been drawn to geometric shapes and the beautiful wooden handled seemed to lend themselves to this aesthetic. All of the handbags in this collection were crafted using high quality “animal friendly” vegan materials, many of which I treated with metallic screen-printing inks to add a luxe finish and a little shimmer. Every element of these bags are handcrafted including the wooden handles that I painted and treated with various paints and stains to bring out the natural wood grain and the ornate carved wood embellishments. Each bag is fully lined and reinforced so they stand on their own and maintain their beautiful shape. I loved the idea of leaving the nail head hardware exposed and I used stunning Swarovski Crystals to enhance the wooden medallions and juxtapose the rawness of the natural wood. I spent countless hours staining, sanding and sewing as each bag ordered I made over and over again from scratch. I was a true labor of love and I’m happy to have two remaining samples I stashed away for my private collection.

COLLECTION  No. 2

My second was the “Tartella Collection” and I went a completely different direction. I think I was going through this punk-road warrior phase which I guess is pretty evident from the multitude of chains, studding and hardware. These bags were also constructed using “animal-friendly” vegan materials and as I’ve found they really do stand up to some serious daily punishment. I’m still carrying the “Getaway Bag” to this day.

I wanted a create a really fierce look that was a bit younger and edgier and I think this collection did just that. I paired many of the bags with studded spiked heels, mini dresses, fur vests and bold geometric accessories. They were also a great compliment to a favorite pair of ripped up skinny jeans, over-sized white v-neck and some sick platform booties. I can’t remember how many times I accidentally stabbed myself with rivets, grommets and studs but it was all worth it in the end!

The “Hussy Clutch” is still my personal favorite and my best selling piece from this collection…who knows, maybe I’ll re-design it in another form in some buttery soft lambskin?!
