After a much needed Holiday break it was a bit difficult to jump back into the swing of work without my mind wandering off to egg nog and sugar plum fairies. Luckily I had a photo shoot scheduled for the 28th which was a great way to hit the ground running and have a little bit of fun!
I had first met Chicago based photographer Ingrid Bonne of Best Friend Photography and Design through mutual friends and after seeing her stunning work at several shows and getting to know her she was my first choice.
Ingrid has been a professional freelance photographer and graphic designer for over 11 years specializing in weddings, special events and portraiture. Her ability to capture spontanious moments give her photographs a gentle and thought provoking experience to the viewer.
We all arrived on location and thankfully Chicago was experiencing one of it’s freak “warm spells” so we were able to get some great outdoor shots without anyone freezing to death or being buried knee deep in snow drifts. The sun was even shining and for a moment it reminded me of very early spring…and then I remembered that we were barely into the first week of winter, but it was a nice thought while it lasted!
Ingrid kept everything running smoothly while I kept track of all the clothes and handbags. Since the bags were the centerpiece of the shoot I chose solid black apparel and natural makeup with a slightly dramatic eye.
The day ended with warm soup, tea and sandwiches while we reviewed the photos and shared plans for the new year. Ingrid was such a pleasure to work with, her infectious laughter and complete professionalism made the entire shoot such a fantastic experience.
I am so pleased with the final images and I look forward to being able to work with her again, she really captured the look and feel of my bags and brought the whole project to life.
